  1. I am 68 and was born and bred in Crookes, living at the junction of Crookes and Coombe Road for my first fifteen years. I had an interesting childhood to say the very least and I am now putting all my memories on computer. So far I am up to Chapter 5 and I’m still at Crookes Endowed School. If anyone form that era or location would like to contact me I would be only too pleased to hear from them. Someone might even remember me! Unfortunately I now live in Shaw near Oldham so I rarely visit the old place. I hope my ramblings might turn into a book, who knows, and if anyone is interested please contact me here.
