Crookes Forum Open Meeting Weds 16th July 7pm for 7.30pm start Crookes Social Club, Mulehouse Rd. This will have an environmental theme but will also have a slot to question our local Councillors or raise concerns. Come along and find out more about what is happening in our neighbourhood.

Student Change Over Period. Take a look at the rubbish reduction scheme flyer attached and visit https://crookesforum.org/community-info/ for more information from the University about the arrangements this year to help reduce student rubbish in the streets during the change over period.

We’ve been informed by the Green Party about a planning application for floodlights at the Derk Dooley Sports Centre on Weston View. See attached letter from Brian Webster, Broomhill Ward Councillor. This will be on the agenda for our Open Meeting on 16th July.

Broomhill Festival has just started and we had a very enjoyable Plant, Produce and Bake Swap at the Satuday Coffee Morning yesterday. Urban Pantry have a Beer & Cheese Matching Event on Mon 9th June 7.45pm. The Crookes Great Cake Off is on Sat 14th June from 10.30am at Wesley Hall. Walkley Festival will be happening the last week in June and first week in July. Look out for their brochure in local shops.

Our Arts in Crookes Group are planning some interesting things going on in local shops over the coming weeks including a Victorian Kitchen Treasure Trail. Sign up to follow our website https://crookesforum.org/ to find out what is happening when.
